tier1 Maintenance section -Change in requirements - Appeal?

Hi all,

As we know on 08/12/2008, requirements for Maintenance section have changed.

It says applications refused "solely on the grounds that the accompanying evidence of maintenance funds was more than seven days old on the date of application will be reviewed. Results of reviews will be notified to relevant applicants in due course."

Any further updates on this?
Has anybody make use of this?
What is the process to make use of this? (as my application was refused on this base)

How can i confirm whether my application is under consideration?
