Visa expiring but ILR biometrics date falls after visa expiration.

Hello! I’d appreciate some insight. Our 5 year visa is expiring on September 14th. We have applied online for the ILR and paid the fees but the biometrics appointment is a few weeks away. Does this affect the outcome or are we safe to wait for our biometrics given that the application has been submitted online?
