Proof of funds for SWV dependent visa (newborn)

Post by alasa995 » Thu Oct 23, 2025 2:19 pm

Hi everyone,

I’m applying for an SWV dependent visa for my newborn son, and I just want to double-check something about the “Money they need to support themselves” section. It says I need to have £310 for the last 28 days to support my child.

From what I understand, this means I should have maintained at least £310 in my bank account for the past 28 days (or roughly 31 days from today) and show that in my bank statement. It seems pretty clear, but I just want to make sure I’ve got it right before submitting everything.

Has anyone done this recently or can confirm how strict they are about this requirement?

Thanks in advance!

How long have you been in the country on SWV?
