Issue with payslips

Post by smallick » Tue Feb 24, 2009 4:05 pm

Hi,

I am in the process of applying Tier 1 under general category. Currently visa status is UK Work Permit. My claim period is from 01/03/2008 to 28/02/2009. I will submit 12 months payslips and 12 months bank statement to prove my claim. In the month of June 2008, I got a pay hike. However that additional amount was not reflected in my bank statement i.e. my company paid me the amount by cheque for the month of July 2008 but the payslip reflected the amount in bank statement + the amount in cheque.

I would like to ignore the pay for the month of July 2008 as getting a letter from my employer explaining the situation is something I want to avoid. Also, I can still cross the £40k mark claiming for 11 months.
Can someone suggest whether I can claim for 11 months like 01/03/2008 - 30/06/2008 and 01/08/2008 - 28/02/2009.

Thanks in advance.

You can apply showing only 11 months' paystubs and wage deposits. You do not need to have had (or show) an income for all twelve months in your chosen interval. As long as the demonstrated wages are sufficient for the number of points you claim, you're fine.
