Hi..

I have opened this topic to track the waiting times for the student visa holder who are currently studing in UK.

I am a student currently on student visa, have applied Tier-1(G)+ 1 Dependant recently, even though my student visa is valid for altleast another 10 months.

Is there anyone with similar case has applied for Tier-1(G) in recent times or has got his visa recently????

Pl post your case if you think it is similar as mine.

Hi kingfahad35...
knowingly I have opened this thread. The link which u sent is for the ppl who are on student visas that were/are going 2 expire within 3 months of application date and also these ppl have already completed their studies.

My case is quite different as my student visa is valid for atleast 8-9 months and I am still doing my studies. I applied Tier-1(G) to avoid getting into new rules(introduced from 31st Mar)....

I hope my explanation above gives u a clear clarification.

Hi all....

Happy to tell you that I've got my passport back today.
Visa was approved on 8th May,09 valid till 8th May,2012.
One thing I learnt/experienced here was abt the status of the visa.


Student visa(ongoing studies) + 1 Dependant to Tier-1

19th Mar--- Application Posting Date
30th Apr--- UNDER CONSIDERATION
5th May--- UNDER CONSIDERATION
7th May--- UNDER FURTHER CONSIDERATION(changed here)
8th May--- UNDER CONSIDERATION(reverted back)
9th May--- Passport & papers received back


If any one has got his appln status changed from "Under Consideration" to "Under Further Consideration" again to "Under Consideration" that means visa is approved or already processed and you will get it in next couple of days.(refer my visa status above).

For those who are waiting, my best wishes are with them and advice them to keep best hopes alive wih patience.
