TB Test Expiry

Post by AzimScot » Thu Dec 31, 2009 12:00 pm

Does anyone know if your TB test expires when you arrive at any UK airport do they take you to a room and do another one and does it cost? I heard a guy on TV went to Heathrow airport and got one done for free.

TB test certificate is valid for six months from the date of issue,
also no TB certificate = no visa, maybe the guy you talk of was subject
to a random test by immigration,in wich case it would have been free.

OP, which country are you from?

The person on the show might have been from somewhere like the states where it's not required to have a tb certificate for the visa but may have looked ill at the POE or something.
I tell it like it is.

,but me thinks if the IO picks up on the out of date TB cert, the person will
have a trip to the POE medical centre, depends on immi officer and how long its been expired.
Ihave known people with a valid TB cert, been asked to have new test
done at POE (LHR).

No i am talking about London Heathrow POE,if the IO has any concerns
regarding the expired TB certificate they will send the person in question
to the medical centre, free for sure.
Not good for the person waiting the other side at arrivals gate though.

TB certificate issued by certified IOM clinic =approx £70.00
