There are no additional documents required for this section, as my university is recognized by the ‘Self Assessment Tool’ available on the Agency website. However, as a supporting document I have enclosed:

1. Letter from the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, University of Delhi stating that the medium of instruction for my Masters degree was English.

6. Maintenance (Funds) Requirement: 10 points claimed

Documents provided:
1. Bank statements from the Indian Savings bank account.

I forgot to mention that I've selected first consecutive 12 months (26 Feb 2009 to 25 Feb 2010) from my last 15 months (26 Feb 2009 to 25 May 2010), so please suggest that is this acceptable ?

Don't confuse the case worker. IMO, he will ignore it anyway.

Why are you taking part months instead of (say) 1-mAr 2009 to 28-Feb 2010? You have more salary in Feb 09 than Feb 10 and want to use exchange rate as of 25feb? Reading from other posts, it might unnecessarily complicate things for the case worker. If you can, take full months into account.

Form 16 is not reqd if Payslips are stamped and bank satements are original

Letter from employer is not reqd. Letter for English language reqmt not reqd since it does not have any validity in the assessment process as well.

Hi layman,

Thanks for the reply

I,m taking apart the months because i want to use my Indian salary, as they have increased the earning.And if i don't show that then i,m not eligible.

As on 26 Feb 2009 i recd .Rs 75000 and if i don't use that that then i can't apply.

And for bank statements i got them from my ICICI bank paper and printed on there dot-matrix printer, and stamped and signed.

Please suggest what to do, should i apply ?

Hi,

I have been reading other posts where the bank statements printed on dot-matrix printer, and stamped and signed were reason for rejection as the guidelines specifically say that they need to be on bank letterhead.

Please read the guidelines very very carefully. Ask ICICI to send you the statements on their letter-head. You can do this online.

Wish you best of luck.

Hi Hema,

Thanks for the reply.

So can i print the statement provided by ICICI bank over the email and then submit it.

Or do i need to submit the original duplicate copy of statements.

As I'm not in India so it would be difficult for me to get the duplicate copies courier as the time is less.

Does PBS automatically award you points for 'English Language Requirement'?

If not then sending a letter from university will not help you. As under new rules (On or after 6th April 2010) you can only claim points for 'English Language Requirement' if PBS calculator awards you.

Hi Hema,

This is what i got from Tier1 Guidance :

Bank statements you send must be on official bank stationery, and must show each of the payments that you are claiming.

And my statements are on the official bank stationery, stamped and singed.

I hope this will work.

Do the email statements have the following:

the applicant’s name;
the account number;
the date of the statement;
the financial institution’s name and logo;

if yes, take a colored printout.

Hope this helps.

Senior members please correct me if i am wrong.
