Congrats!

Looks like they were trying hard to consider as many applications as possible before 19 July... Not sure if they had completely good intentions about it, though. The conservatives kept talking about the "spikes" in applications before policy changes. Wonder if they somehow asked the HO to prove their point?..

I know the cap is going to be implemented from 19th July.Do you think this applies for dependant as well....my wife is going to apply her dependant on monday 19th july....

From what i've gathered cap doesn't apply for dependants...but can you please confirm....

Found this link, which says interim limit will not be applicable for the dependants of Tier-1 migrants...i hope this does not mean only for dependants in UK.

I had a question - how do you get a well ahead visa start date? Should we specify a far ahead date of travelling in the application?

I will be applying next week, so needed this information..

thanks!

you can specify visa start date not more than 30 days from the date of applying

on VAF9 first question will be on which date do you wish to travel

Well, that's not true anymore. I applied on July 5th with a travel date of Aug 28th. Got the visa stamped with validity starting Aug 28th.
