Earnings - Salary Gross Salary OR Net Salary

Hi Experts,

I am collecting documents required for Tier 1 (General), as part of that, in the point based calculator (URL) for 'Earnings' do I need to claim only Net Salary OR Gross Salary.

Gross salary before tax. Please go through the guidelines.

Thanks, I had gone through the policy and it also mentioned in PBS Calculator help as well/
