Unrestricted CoS Time for New Employer

Hi,

I would really like some help on this matter. My prospective new employer is considering to request an unrestricted cos for me, because probably they have run out of their allocated number of certificates. Does anyone know how long does it take to get one? My job is at stake because the employers are reluctant to give me a cos. I'm very worried as I don't want the job to be given to a less qualified candidate just because employer doesn't want to spend time in applying for cos. Please advice. I would like to know how long does it take to get additional unrestricted cos.
