ILR Success at Croydon PEO

Post by pjunk » Tue Sep 27, 2011 4:17 pm

Hello all,

Thought would share with you our success on ILR yesterday at Croydon. It all went really smooth. We were applying under Tier1 General (but covered by HSMP judicial review)

Original entry clearance received on 11.10.2006
Entered UK- 24.10.2011
Extension – 20.10.2008
Current leave expiry: 20.10.2011 (but qualifying period ending only on the 24.10.2011). Thus we opted to go on the 26th Sep- exactly 28 days before the qualifying period ending.

Croydon PEO (for those who drive there, there is NCP car park exactly opp where you can park for £5 a day). We didn’t know that and had parked 20 mins walk away in Wandle Rd NCP.

They let us in the building only half an hour before the actual appointment.
Went through security and initial documents check on the ground floor (20 mins).
They sent us upstairs with a ticket no.
Went to the payment window (all empty, no queues)- took the Payment of £2025
And then we were waiting to be seen (1.25 hours).
The lady called us to be seen, asked for application form, passports and photos…After few minutes asked why my dependent child is not on the application and I explained that we are planning to register her for BR citizenship. She didn’t say anything. Then, asked for following documents:
3 months payslips
Employer letter
3 months bank statements current +savings
Proof of cohabitation (we had annual mortgage statements for last 4 years; but had all the joint a.c. bank statements of last two years just in case)
Five years P60
and she asked to give her photocopies of the same if we had any.

Then she asked us to go back, relax and wait to be called back. (45 mins or so).

Eventually called us and informed that our ILR was granted and passports will be ready in next hour or so. You are free to go out and come back at this point...But, we were able to collect the passports in 30 minutes. Later on the security said it was unusually quiet day…possibly Monday.

Thanks to all the people who have helped us solve our last minute queries…

Now off to Citizenship

Many congratulations for your success. Celebration time....

Please can you help me by answering following questions

1. On payment details,First question "If you are applying as HSMP under term of HSMP policy document ? Did you tick YES or NO.

2.Which section you tick in 3B and 10 ?

3.In 6.3 When you last enter UK? Did you put the date when you return in UK last time when you went abroad or visa date on stamp ?

Did you submit any cover letter ? if yes please can you provide to me.

Hope you can help.
Many Thanks again.

Cheers

I had left the first box on payment pg (on page 3) blank because I was applying under Tier 1 general which was my last leave to remain. They didn’t object or ask me anything…

3B- first tick
Sec 10G

And in 6.1 I wrote the date when I first came to the UK (not a visa dt). I think this is how they calculate your qualifying period. I had separated excel for all the absences from the country. Someone else has helpfully attached the excel in this forum.

And here is the cover letter

Although they didnt ask for the last three in our case,
