Adult dependant relative for my mother

Post by nealraj_aravind » Sun Sep 08, 2019 7:31 pm

Hi,

I (holding ILR) would like to bring my mother from India to UK and found about ADR visa. I have read the details of the terms of the visa and have following questions,

1. Is there IHS charges for this Visa type?
2. IHS charges for how many years as ADR is valid indefinite. Also IHS is outside of £3250 visa fee?
3. In one of the statement it mentioned no NHS for 5 years, is that means after 5 years my mother can access NHS in case of emergency if IHS is not applicable?

Regards
Raj

This is the hardest visa to get and if you take the risk and apply, highly likely it will be refused which then also shuts the door to any future visitor visas.

You would have to prove that care is unaffordable for her where she lives, which would be difficult for India.

Does he have any disability or illness that makes him needs your assistance to eat, get dressed or go to the bathroom? If yes, is this kind of assistance not available in India?

This route has a nearly certain negative outcome. I read that 99% of applications fail.

However, once this application fail, your brother can no longer get a visitor visa to the UK as he showed intention to stay permanently.

Thanks for the advice. I was not aware that if the case is refused, further visitor visa will be rejected. Don't want to risk of the good visitor visa option.
