T2 and ILR questions

Post by rvsdwk » Fri Dec 04, 2015 1:52 pm

Dear board members,

history is as follows:

- T2ICT EC valid from 24/5/2011 (exp june 2014)
- Applied from home country for T2G EC on 2/4/2012 (on a short visit while T2ICT was still active), visa granted 11/4/2012
- Applied for T2G LTR (in country), visa granted 6/9/2013

questions are:
1- Does the T2 6 year cap apply to me?
2- If the answer to 1 is yes, does it count from the date of the T2ICT or the first T2G? What is the actual date for the 6 years cap in my case?
3- What date am I eligible for ILR?
4- How early can I apply for extension? what date do you recommend based on the 6 years cap

Thank you

1- Does the T2 6 year cap apply to me? For Tier 2 General yes.
2- If the answer to 1 is yes, does it count from the date of the T2ICT or the first T2G? What is the actual date for the 6 years cap in my case? Tier 2 General EC date
3- What date am I eligible for ILR? On what date did you ENTER the UK on your Tier 2 G?
4- How early can I apply for extension? what date do you recommend based on the 6 years cap What is the expiry date of your current Tier 2 G
You need to provide more detailed visa/entry details on Tier 2 G for anyone to advise you. We can't guess these details.

You can apply for ILR no sooner than within 28 days before 11 April 2017 provided you meet all the requirements.

5/10/2016.
I will need to extend in that case - but the ICT time won't count towards the 6 years limit as you noted, right?
By the way, starting which date did this 6 years limit become effective? Is it for anyone with EC post April 6th 2011 or 2012?

Thank you CR001 for your time.

PS: I believe that Q7 should read Tier 2 ICT instead of Tier 1 ICT

Any time and feel free to ask any further questions you might have.

P.S. thanks for the heads up, I have corrected the little mistake in Q7
