Any recent Citizenship ceremonies in Birmingham Council ?

Post by Mawi88 » Wed Feb 03, 2021 9:54 am

Dear All,

Yesterday, the UKVI informed me that my citizenship application has been successful and they will send me ceremony invitation when the my naturalisation certificate is dispatched. I should also note that I listed Birmingham Council as my preferred ceremony location in my BC application.

I know that during the pandemic the ceremony invitations were taking forever to be issues. However, i recently heard that Birmingham Council introduced virtual ceremonies via MS Teams ( https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/info/5003 ... p_ceremony ) .

Having said that, would that mean that ceremony invitations for Birmingham Council are expected to be issued quicker ? did anyone recently do their ceremony in Birmingham and how long it took for them to get an invitation ?

Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Mawi
