Applying family visa when my uk visa is in renewing state

Post by uk_indian_1 » Tue Jan 12, 2016 5:15 pm

I am having long term ict tier2 visa which is expiring soon, so i am in process of renewng the visa.
I am also planning to invite my parents/in-laws to visit me for 2-2 months.
Please coukd you help me to find out which all documents i need to collect and they need to collect in order to get the visa without any issue
And also, as i am going to renew my visa- will it create any issue if i mention application reference number in invitation letter or what should be the correct process to get them thier standard visitor visa.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply. I went through with uk gov website and some questions of this board.
As of now, i know that i need to provide a invitation letters to them as i will be sponsoring thier trip. I also need to provide few documenta to support my letter, such as My passport, visa, bank statememts, payslip, council statement
And they need to provide some documents to prove that they will be going back after thier visit, such as employment/pension letter, bank statements, FD details, house details.
Please could you suggest if i missed any document which needs to be added.
And also Is it possible and advisable to raise their visa request when i am renewing my visa ?
Thanks in advance

FD details,
This will not be taken into account. Only funds that are liquid and immediately accessible are considered by UKVI.

They are applying for a standard tourist visa and have to qualify for it in their own right, whether you are in the UK or not.

So you mean they doesn't need any invitation letter or any document from my side ?
In that case, ideally how much funds they should have in their account??

Well they do if they are visiting you don't they. Just like they would need hotel confirmations etc if not visiting you.

There is no minimum balance but they must each have sufficient funds for the duration of their stay.

So does it means that they just need a invitation letter from me stating my UK address - thats it ??
And just for guidance - how much would be sufficient funds in terms of money ?
Thanks in advance
