applying for citizenship- ILR successful in 2020 sole parental responsibility

Post by minxmit » Tue Jul 12, 2022 4:23 pm

Hi, I got my ILR and for my two children based on sole parental responsibility in Nov 2020. Now applying for naturalisation and citizenship for self and children (ages 13 and 19 now). Since I previously proved sole responsibility through various documents , should I provide anything similar now ?

Your 19 year old applies independently as an adult and must meet all the requirements on their own for citizenship, including the english and liuk test requirements if not previously required for ilr.

Likely you will need to submit evidence of sole responsibility for the 13 year old in place of parental consent.
