Applying for Naturalisation with EEA Permanent Residence card

Post by johnbiondini » Sun Sep 22, 2019 7:39 pm

Hi all,
I moved here from Italy in 2012 and I finally can apply for citizenship after having passed the english test and life in the uk one. I have been filling the naturalisation form and I have few questions, it would be great if someone have any advice:
Does my permanent residence card have Biometric residence permit? It's a blue card with details and my picture.

Does the HMRC proof of employment works for proof of living in the uk? Or should I contact my old employer?

My partner’s (we are not married or civil partnership, just been living together for the last 6 years) sister is a teacher, can she be one of the referee?

I had a speeding ticket when I was living in Italy in 2009, since then I lost my driving licence and I had to request a new one from DVLA, I am now unable to find out the exact date, what should I do?

My last day at my current job is on Friday and I'm starting a new one on the 7th October. Is it safe to send the application before Friday or should I wait to start the new job?

Thank you for your time! :)

No

Yes will be enough if it show that you was working

I don't really know but if you are not married or not on civil partnership so I guess will be fine , just guessing

Speeding ticket shouldn't affect your application

Work or not , change your job or not it's nothing to do with your application
Thank you for your time! :)

Thank you for your answer!
Should I say that I don't have any driving offence at all then? I don't want to lie and it's more than 10 years ago. I tried to add just the year but it requires day and month.

I mentioned my job as it asks if I am currently employed, and if I put my current job it would be valid until Friday which is my last day I guess?
Thanks again.

You are overthinking this. No need to declare your ticket or over think your employment status which is not relevant

Thank you, I just didn’t want to lie and be banned from the application.

Hi,
I spoke with the Home Office and am they asked to provide a cover letter about my speeding ticket.
Does anyone have a template for this? Tried to search on this forum but couldn’t find anything.
Thanks

We don't have file of template letters for everything that members ask unfortunately. Simply write a concise brief letter explaining if you want to.
