Bank statement for Ilr from tier 2 set (o)

Hi..I am currently applying for my Ilr from tier 2 general.I am bit confused as the application doesn't specify for how long they need bank statements along with my payslip.It just ask for recent.Can someone help me?

Thanks for you reply.I called ukvi last week thrice and got three different reply ..The first customer said they need bank statements for 2 years , the second said 6months and the third said 3months..So that totally confused me.

UKVI helpline is outsourced and they know nothing about the immigration rules.
