Been waiting for passport for 7 weeks

I sent my application on 8/10/18 and it been 7 weeks since and I haven’t heard anything from them no acknowledgement no passport. My Gnib just run out of date this 20 of November and although it is not urgent I really need to know when I will get my passport back. Anyone having a similar problem? How long did it take for your passport to return?
