Greetings,
I wish to seek advice for applying British citizenship.
I (along with my wife and child born outside UK) have ILR in UK. We have possessed ILR for more than 1 year and I have now made an online application for British citizenship together.

My query is regarding my second child (born in UK), can I add the child to my online application or should I make a separate application for the child? Is there a specific link should I apply for this child?

You can add your child to the application though there are specific requirements to register children which differ from adult naturalisation. After you complete your forms it will give you the option to add another application and select the age of the applicant - if you select less than 18 years old it will automatically become form MN1 for minor registration.

Thank you for your suggestion, I have completed my section on the application portal and added my kids.
But I checked the gov.uk webpage, which clearly mentions that application for children must be done separately https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-in ... r-children. Which makes me doubtful that I should make a separate application for my children. Does the home office accept a combined application for the entire family (including children)?

Secondly, while I am making my citizenship application; I am in process of changing my residential address. I have mentioned that in my application, but I fear that by the time I receive the decision on my application; I would have my old address printed on my documents. What is your suggested action in such a situation?

Children: it's perfectly fine to add your children online. Once you select under 18s the form is adjusted to MN1 format (for under 18s registration). The "advice" is outdated, doesn't make sense. You can add them with your own application.
Change of address is no issue - the approval advice comes by email and the only document you will receive doesn't have your address on it (certificate). You don't need address proof.

I have added my children to my application.

The question which troubles me is that I am applying British citizenship via naturalization process for myself, my wife and elder child (because we were not born in UK and have received ILR after 5 years of stay in the UK). My second child was born in UK (before I received ILR), which that child also needs to be added to my application or do I need a separate application for this child?

You do not need to add a separate application. Caseworkers will understand what you are doing. This is quite a common scenario.

Generally kids under 18 are not expected to attend oath ceremony.
If I add my kids to the application, will I need to make them attend the ceremony because they are part of my family application?

I wish to avoid fees for them as everything is rising in cost, hence the reason for questions.

No!!

There is NO ceremony or ceremony fee for children under 18!!

There's no family or group application, all applicants are assessed separately.

If child turns 18 before the application is approved then UKVI will ask for a ceremony fee. You still pay the application fee of course.

The fee for adults is the same and is already included in the appl fee for adults.
Not sure what the confusion is?

Can I ask if I need separate references (British citizens) for all the 4 co-applicants?
I mean, if I am putting 2 references for my application, can I use the same for other co-applicants as well?

While I was filling the form for citizenship the document section gave me weird options to provide evidence for, like.

I need to provide death certificate for myself - when I am alive?

I do not have British Passport - but still I am asked to provide a evidence for it

The problem is that I am skip to next page until I accept to provide all these documents? Is there any suggestions?

??? What form are you filling in? Yours or the one for your children? You need to go back and check your answers, if it's asking you to provide your death certificate.
