BC application for family members

Post by lleksi » Tue Jan 14, 2020 2:41 pm

Hello,
I hope someone can help me with my query regarding family registration as BC
:
I and two kids are From EU, kids 11 and 16 were born abroad,
My wife non EU, as a member of EU family were granted settled status along with all of us on 01/2019
1) Do I have to apply for kids BC as part of my application?
or should I do it after one of adults will be granted BC

2) Does my wife's passport sufficient as a proof of living

3)2011 I had obtain Registration Certificate, the blue one ,similar to PR
Does that count under the question : Have you previously made any other UK
immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

Thank you in advance!

1) You can include kids in your BC application - it seems the easiest way.
Or you can apply later - but if the older becomes 18 they will have do it themselves (which means english test, LIUK, larger fee..) - they have to be less then 18 on the day you apply.
3) I believe European applications are not immigration applications - they are just confirmations of status, not really "applications" (this applies to PR too).
I think, however, that settled status is an immigration application.
2) She is family member of EU, so her passport is not stamped. Thus she needs some alternative proof of residence - like you do (see what is written in guidelines about EU citizens)

Thanks for respond

That’s correct my wife is the family member of EU, but her passport has been stamped any time we crossed the border during the last 6 years

Still I am a bit confused regarding my UK Registration Certificate, because of the question
any other UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad. UK Registration Certificate has
been applied through HO UK

any advice please!

Could respected gurus please help me out?

1)I have a Settled status under EU Settlement scheme, Under the section EEA Nationals (Are you either :
EEA national who has been issued with a permanent residence document
A family member of an EEA national who has been issued with a permanent residence card)
I have answered YES, in my belief the Settled status is a document.
Then: What will you use to apply for British citizenship? And one of the options is:
Indefinite leave to remain (ILR), including ILR granted under the EU Settlement Scheme
I am sort of confused about that.

2)My wife, as a family member, 2019 has been granted Settled Status under EU Settlement Scheme, also she holds a residence card since 2016, does she has to answer yes or no,under this section
The doubt is, if you answer no, there is no option (Indefinite leave to remain (ILR), including ILR granted under the EU Settlement Scheme)
Thanks!

You answer NO as you don't have a document certifying PR under the EEA rules if you only have settled status.

You need to select the correct category you hold.
