You are free to travel.swagill wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 3:23 pmI have submitted application for naturalisation on 1st of June. As far as I can assess biometric appointment for me could be delay beyond August/Sept .
My question is : Can I travel outside UK for two weeks and book my biometric appointment once I return back? or I can’t?
I know that for naturalisation application once biometric are submitted one can travel outside UK but how about someone travel outside before biometric and upon arrival schedule biometric appointment accordingly.
Shall he declare such extra trips in his UKVCAS "upload document" session while waiting for the biometric appointment?CR001 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 3:42 pmYou are free to travel.swagill wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 3:23 pmI have submitted application for naturalisation on 1st of June. No - your application date is the day you submit/pay - NOT the biometrics appointment.hgvhgvh wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 5:19 pmShall he declare such extra trips in his UKVCAS "upload document" session while waiting for the biometric appointment?CR001 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 3:42 pmYou are free to travel.swagill wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 3:23 pmI have submitted application for naturalisation on 1st of June. There already was an announcement, which you didn't read fully. Appointments will be made available in the order of application date, i.e. if you sent your application in early April you'll be able to book an appointment soon, but if you submitted last week you'll wait for awhile. That's the gist of it anyway.Cost Manager wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 10:52 amThere are no appointments available whatsoever. I am trying since 7 am in the morning. I guess we need to wait till further announcement
To be honest I think the announcement of June 19th was changed overnight. Initially it was pretty confusing, now they have amended it and it seems to make more sense indeed.grosvenorave wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 5:42 pmThere already was an announcement, which you didn't read fully. I have an appointment for naturalisation very soon. My question is can I travel overseas after attending the biometrics appointment? When I have to be back in the UK? after receiving the confirmation letter because I have to return my BRP card in 5 days? So whenever I receive confirmation, I have to be back in 5 days?CR001 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 3:42 pmYou are free to travel.swagill wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 3:23 pmI have submitted application for naturalisation on 1st of June. You are free to travel. The brp only has to be returned AFTER you have attended your ceremony. That is the point you become British.adatitan wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 10:58 pmI have an appointment for naturalisation very soon. Is it even possible to book an appointment without the invite though? I have been checking every hour for the last few days and I have seen no availability in any place.
Nope you CANNOT.

We're trying to be as fair as possible, opening up the booking system to more people in phases based on registration dates, starting with the earliest registrations first. We are committed to opening our booking system to as many customers as possible as soon as we can. Once we reach the date you registered, you will receive an email inviting you to book an appointment.
There is NO premium or super priority option for naturalisation, ever at any time. You only have standard service, which can take up to 6 months.spartanking_007 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 4:03 pmHi Moderators,
Can you please let us know, if premium or super priority service is available (provided appointments open soon) for Naturalisation application at one of the UKVCAS centres.
Thanks
I have exactly the same question but was too shy to ask and I thought that I was misreading the notification on UKVCAS.blueskies89 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 9:34 amHi, just wondering has anyone received an email to book an appointment. I submitted my application on 5th April and still haven’t received any yet.
I have read the notification on theit website that they have opened the booking system for applicants who submitted their application after 27th March.
This is the British Citizenship sub forum not a PBS sub forum!!
No one will be penalised due to the delays.James1859 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 12:13 pmHello folks
So I've filled in wife's Naturalisation application and made the payment ...etc. All that is left to do is getting an appointment with UKVCAS but it seems impossible.
No matter what centre I choose and whatever date I choose, there are no appointments available. What are we to do in this situation?
Our application on the GOV UK website said that we had to make the appoinment by a certain date, but what if we can't get an appointment before the deadline!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
