Cheapest English exam option?

Hello

My spouse and I are ILR holders and wish to apply for citizenship after the 1yr period that is soon-to-be-completed.

We have already taken Life in UK and passed.

To meet the second req, we are Now trying to decide whether to go through the NARIC route (or) take a ESOL test. The cheaper, the better - all inputs will be appreciated.

I paid ESOL exam 125 pounds.
I am sometimes wrong.
