Unless you get approval letter in paper as an evidence, I don’t think we can do anything.....
That's roughly 2 months. It does not necessarily mean refusal. May be yours is a straight forward application. Or it could be the same case as some people that theirs showed DECIDED and they called HO and HO told them it is still Waiting for Approval. To the best of your knowledge, is there anything you did not declare on the application, things like FPN/Police Caution etc.,Duke78 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2017 8:38 pmHi guys
I applied on the in August 2017. Application received on 17th August, biometrics on 23rd and after that status changed to awaiting decision. On 12th October status changed to decided. Doesnt sound very good to me when I see all other applicants still waiting for months. Is it a refusal? Worried now![]()

I strongly suggest you read the forum rules to understand what you can and cannot post on the forum. Specifically named HO staff emails are not permitted.

Thanks @arvindb4u for heads up, problem is rules are not clear regarding submission of Indian Passport. On the website they say once you receive nationalisation certificate you shall submit your passport ASAP. but you are correct no need to hurry in surrendering our present passport if I am planning to travel.aravindb4u wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2017 3:19 pmSam69, Dont surrender your Indian PP, until you receive your British PP by post. It happened to one of my friend and they found themselves in unfortunate situation in an emergency.
For me my ceremony is mid Nov, however I'm travelling out of UK in 2nd week of Dec.
I'm hoping I will receive PP by end of Nov, if not I will have to use my current nationality passport, but apply a visa for my travel. Touchwood, I will receive British PP by end of Nov.
Dont surrender Indian PP on ceremony day immediately, you dont have to. Allow some time for it, as there is no penalty for travelling on Indian PP for 3 or 6 months I believe
I hope mine is not one of those cases where the application is still under processing and online status changed to 'Decided'luckystar786 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2017 1:11 pmhi
same here status changed to decied on 6th oct .but did not receive anything yet ...i hope we will receive the letter by end of this week......

Congrats. That is a good news.Duke78 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2017 7:53 pmHi Dear friends
I told you I will keep you posted. My approval letter was received by my solicitor today and it was a success. I wish and pray success for you all. So my case was decided exactly in 8 weeks and the letter of approval was also received within the time limit specified on the online tracker.
takdeerwala wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2017 9:09 pmHi Guys !!!
My online status changed to "Decided" on 7th October. Approval letter is supposed to come in 10 working days. I am still waiting for it. Well it isn't 10 working days yet is it??
I have few questions:-
1) The approval letter is supposed to come by Royal Mail normal post or any special post with signature required or some courier service like DX ? Approval letter comes Royal Mail 2nd class post, standard A5 brown envelope (looks a bit like junkmail).
2) Council will send letter automatically (like I am reading in some cases) or only after receiving letter can we online book thru Council website !! Yes, IF you don't receive a combined approval/invite letter from HO (yes there is such a combined letter).
3) In case letter doesn't come even after 15 days, what is the best way to contact? Phone number? Email? Call the Council and ask if they have received anything for you.
Thank you very much and Good Luck to Everybody. Cheers !!!
