@ nobu
Did u notice your details are written differently in your application and on your passport?
As you wrote: they mentioned your surname is written as your middle name on your passport right?
Or could it be it was you made the mistake during the filling of the application form?
It would be advisable you write them and notify them the correct order you know it should be, if possible attach some additional docs to show how your name has been arranged.
Any postage, pls remember to use next day delivery signed for.
Your application seem to be approved, just the question of writing correct name on certificate and passport, I guess.
@smallpie
Thanks so much for the reply
For me I saw no different the same names are in my passport. It’s the same in my application form
The only issue I can see on it on the form my surname mentions correct and in my passport is my middle as my surname and my surname as my middle just wish if they can go ahead approved so tired of waiting.

Dear Madam

Same situation here. Applied in October and no news so far! I sent an email to the same one as you did last week, but no response, yet. You may try the following ones as well, but I have not tried them myself:
NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

First of all they don’t reply to any application status emails unless it’s been over 6 months. I emailed them using the FurtherNationalityenquiries email to clarify some information I felt I had omitted. And they took about 7 days to reply

Hi,
When applying for naturalisation, would it be wise to apply for a British Passport at the same time separately?
Thanks

Guys,
Sorry for the repeated questions but in the Referee Declaration, do they want my photo attached on each declaration or the referee's photo?
Thanks

Hi everyone,
I applied for naturalisation on August 23 via NCS. As the six months waiting period was fast approaching, I decided to email them last week (Jan 30) to ask for an update. They replied the same day with a generic email saying that applications are dealt with in receipt date order so it will take longer for it to be considered (which we know is not the case as some applications get processed extremely fast).
Then, today I received a letter dated Feb 4 (please note that Feb 4 is a Sunday...which is strange) saying that even though they aim to process applications within six months, they will need more time because my case raises complex issues. They say they will try make a decision as soon as possible but they will write again if they can't.
Has anyone else experienced this? I always thought I had a very straightforward case (that was what NCS told me too). Plus, they never got in touch with me to ask for my documents or ask any questions. I know there is not much I can do but I am just really confused now and would value any advice.
Thank you in advance

I applied on 27th of April 2017 . Still waiting for decision. Even I have never had any problems in the UK. I am self-employed , My wife is British , my daughter already was born here. The told me my case is complex too . Soooo frustrating.

I see.. It would have just been helpful to know the reason behind it and how long we are expected to wait further. I wonder how many cases are in the same boat and if others eventually got an answer after receiving this letter, how long would it have taken.

I involved mp and solicitors. They say if they don't make a decision up to six months after that there's no limit.

Could I ask what is your particular situation? Is yours a straightforward application?

I had 10 years legally stay in the UK plus my indefinite leave to remain. But when I had got my indefinite i did wait only for two months then I submitted my application. I have no idea whether that's made problem for me or not.

As far as I know, you have to wait for at least 1 year after being free from any stay restrictions, e.g. a year after obtaining an ILR/PR. So the 1 year has to be after being free of any stay restrictions, e.g. being on visa etc., so regardless of how long you've been legally staying, you have to have spent at least a year without any stay restriction. This is based on what I know. Others can correct me if I am wrong!

User 'Kurabor' is married to a British citizen and therefore did NOT have to wait 12 months on ILR before applying for citizenship.

Hi,
I would likt add something too.
If you’re married to, or the civil partner of, a British citizen, you can apply for citizenship as soon as you recieve you ILR.I mean no need to wait 12 month after ILR If you are married to British citizen. That is how i apply after almost 2 months of my ILR.
CR001 is absolutely right. I really appreciate CR001 assistance.

Thanks for the correction. I did not know that his/her ILR was obtained from being married to a BC.
Thanks once again.
