Sorry, have another question. I have booked in my NDRS for 2nd November and in the confirmation email there is a statement about not travelling for 2 months from the time I make the application. I already have flights booked from mid-December to early Jan (away for a total of 3 weeks).

Given that there is a maximum of 15 days to enrol biometrics from the time the request is made, should I reschedule the NDRS session to the new year (in case I'm still overseas at the time)?

What's the typical time between the application being made and the enrolment request coming through?

Is it possible to complete biometric enrolment in Australia?

However, as you are applying online, you will be able to print your biometric letter as already advised and enroll even before your NDRS appointment.

By post, second class mail.

I used NCS not NDRS+JCAP, this is my biggest mistake, it is much slower, and even after approval, you have to file to get passport, another slow process.
Hope you choose online not paper form.

Query on Naturalisation please -

I have got your details from one of the immigration boards. I am hoping you can help us with some advice.
I have submitted the naturalisation information yesterday after coming back from a 3 week holiday.

Unfortunately I haven’t included the 3 week holiday period in the absence list while submitting the application. Even including these 3 weeks I am still within the 90 day per year period but I haven’t included these dates in the form.

Can you please let me know what my options are now?

I will shortly be applying through 5yr + 1yr ILR (Ancestry) route, non-EEA, using the NDRS+JCAP service.

I have a question regarding the employment history section of the application.

I was self employed until 2 years ago, first as a sole trader and then as a director of a limited company (dissolved in Dec '17). I have been employed by one company for the past 2 years, so I am wondering if I add one other item covering self employment for the rest of my time in the UK, or split the self employment period into 2: sole trader and limited company activities.

The lines are a little blurred because I did take some freelance work that was paid PAYE even while I was a director of my LTD, and did a small amount of freelance work through my LTD after commencing my current employment, so the timeline isn't exactly linear. My tax affairs are all in order, my only concern is about how best to summarise this for the application.

If you look at the September timeline, NCS paper applications are being decided way faster than online applications. some are approved in 22 days in total and 7 days from biometrics.

Might this be because NCS is being phased out and some councils are no longer accepting new appointments?

Ive just completed my application and have downloaded all the forms and paperwork. I was reading through the hard copy and have realised I've made a huge error for one of my trips outside the UK (incorrect departure and return date which is showing me as having been out of the UK for 126 days when I was out for only 15). Not sure if this matters but my NDRS is booked in for the coming Friday (2nd November).

Is it possible to correct this? If so, I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance.

A couple of other questions regarding the document checklist:

1. Proof of living in the UK for applicant: what constitutes as proof of this? I have my ILR card and my current passport. My old passport, which I no longer have in my possession, had my original visa and visa stamp when I first entered the UK.

2. Proof of freedom from immigration time restrictions: what constitutes as proof of this?

3. General question - can one piece of ID cover multiple requirements, e.g. my biometric residence permit also cover as my evidence of identity?

3. No. You need to send your passport And Brp. BRP is proof of immigration status for citizenship, not identity.

Thanks for your help again, CR001. I don't have all my passports, just my current one. Is there something else I can use in place of that?

Also, do you know what the best course of action is for correcting a typo on the application form (I entered the incorrect departure and return date for 'trips outside of UK' section) on my online application.

Whenever I check my mailbox, my heartbeat goes up and down massively. According to the timelines, 17th September NDRS-JCAP's are being decided and coming one by one. For the records, I am one of the September's, applied on 17th JCAP.

Don't beat yourself up. I think people are posting their timeline only when they received the outcome. As far as I can see the majority of the decisions made in about 2 months time for non EU applicants (average).

Not sure if this is cause for alarm, but I just noticed one of my referees forgot to write my name in the "name of applicant" field on the first page of the referee form. He wrote his full name, date and signature on page 2 as expected. Do you think it's ok if I add my name myself on page 1, or should I arrange to redo it? Seems like a small thing to me but never sure how seriously it might be taken.

Regarding the matter of being physically present in the UK 5 years to the day before the application is made, for online applications, is that from the day the online form was submitted or the day of the NDRS appointment or the day the HO receives the paperwork?

I ask because I was absent from 9th - 11th November in 2013 and am slightly worried that my paperwork will be received by the HO on that date even though I completed the online submission this week and my NDRS appointment is for the coming Friday.

Firstly I would like to thank all the moderators for continuously responding to all the queries. Finally my long journey with UKVI is coming to an end.

Received by naturalisation approval last week.

However i did not receive my Ceremony invitation letter yet. The letter says to contact HO if i do not receive it in 3 weeks. Does it normally takes 3 weeks. I have seen the timelines tracker, majority received the same day as the approval (mostly online applications).

Did any one submitted postal application and was there any delay in receipt of the ceremony letter ?

I have made a postal application, however received approval quickly (8 days after biometrics submitted).

Is it at all possible that if one of the parcel/ letters is my approval?

Can ever HO send/sent a signed post instead of the 2nd class letter?

I read on the forum somewhere once that someone received their approval in some parcel type plastic bag parcel with his documents? (I am Online/JCAP)

Impissible for anyone on the forum to advise you on what it might be.

Approval letters come standard 2nd class post, A5 brown envelope.

None that I have seen or am aware of. Some have sent special delivery prepaid envelopes for supporting docs to be returned and they either have or have not been used.

Remember that it is only a small percentage of applicants that post here.
