I was wondering about the average wait time for 2021 so I scanned the timelines thread and have worked out the average wait time of applications submitted this year to be 131 days. The longest someone reported waiting was 221 days and the shortest was 18 days.
Thanks for doing this, it's really helpful. I wanted to do the same, but there is so much noise in the timeline thread. People add their timeline straight after submitting application and/or doing the biometrics, which is totally useless and makes the whole thread a total mess. Why would anyone care if you did your biometrics yesterday? Doesn't give any useful information to anyone.

I will hit 131 days later this week, which is also super annoying.

They seem to not be in any hurry processing any June applications. I am on 136 days today… very frustrating

Good analysis of timeline. Has anyone noticed if a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children, 1 of them over 10, another over 13), takes longer than a single applicant to process? I know children registration by discretion will require an EO level caseworker to approve.

Hi, I received citizenship ceremony letter from my council for next Friday, but I haven't received any approval letter or any invitation letter confirming, and on letter received from council it says y " you should bring invitation letter from home office".
Has anyone experienced this situation, I have emailed home office but as usual you don't get any reply from them. Any advice?

Hi Everyone,

Applied for naturalisation in March 2020 (yes its 2020!), heard none, sent an email after 6 months requesting for an update, same old usual response.... honestly, simply could not bother and just left at it, received an email early October 2021 (after 18 months!!) asking to prove my residency in year 17-18, sent tax return/tax statement + passport pages and the wait goes on again.... However the money was deducted within days of my application, there was no delay there😂

Will keep you all updated as and when I hear back something. Those who think that your applications have been delayed, think of me and comfort yourself😂😂😂

Wish you all the best outcome with your applications.

Hope u get reply soon, I got call on 26th aug 2021 to provide my expired passport with travel stamps which I did same day and since then haven't received approval email or letter, but got letter from local council for ceremony next week, Strange.
So if you got call means the application is in progress now, finger crossed you will get reply within 2 months.

I am really annoyed and frustrated with home office service, one of the worst organisation. Sent emails you get standard reply, they are so lazy and rude to even reply emails, but no delays in taking money out. Stupid

At last! Received the brown envelope with the invitation ceremony.

It has taken 21 months to process it.

Happy ending😂

Your guess is wrong. Currently average time for waiting is ~132 days, while you're waiting only 109 days. If you don't receive a decision by the end of November, you can say it's taking longer.

Yeah, I assume it's 17 July 2021. Otherwise it is the longest outstanding case.

138 days since my biometrics have been provided. I am officially over the average :D

My question to Home Office is now 15 days ago...

I know its less than 6 month, but this is frustrating.... The Mailman must think I am stalking him as well

Can you tell us why do think HO delaying your application, for instance and if you would like, tell us about your immigration history or any issue in your application you may think was a pick for investigation by HO.
Thanks
