From April 2015, you are require to register for biometrics, (even if you submitted it during your ILR). You will surely receive a letter requesting one (Probably after a week once your money is debited)

they acknowledge my application on the 7th of July and took the money on the 9th, however I still haven't received the biometrics requirement .....i gave my biometrics in June for my replacement BRP card, does it mean i won't be asked to give it again ???

Exactly! That's what the NCS person told me when i went for appointment. But, now I'm confused.

i believe B-M are a must
obviously the reason why they have put this requirement back in place is to ensure they want to make sure there is nothing happened since your last BM which might affect the application( i.e immigration history during travelling or any other offense

Received the acknowledgement letter.
I expected to receive the Biometrics letter too with the acknowledgement letter. But I didn't.

I suppose the acknowledgement and biometrics requests are handled by 2 separate teams.
I anticipate I'll receive it in the coming days.
