If you become British and your wife has moved to FLR (M) before 6 April 2014 then your dont have to wait for 5 years. you can apply under 3 years rules under 287(a)(i)(d).

I have sent few reminders as well and they said they have sent my application t an other department which will take further 3 to 6 months. I am surprise as my application was single and I have British wife and kids so why they are taking more then a year on my application. I have no traffic offence and no criminal record at all.

The HO statistics, if I have understood correctly, show that out of 39441 BC applications, 36658 are granted and 2425 refused. This would mean 358 [39441- 39083 (36658 Granted + 2425 Refused)] applications (covering the FQ of 2015, Jan-March) currently awaiting consideration. Is it probabable that HO will drag on with these 358 applications for ages?
