UK - EEA?

Post by prk17 » Sat Jan 23, 2021 1:21 pm

Hi,

My husband recently received his British passport and I am applying for my naturalisation on the basis of his application. I have had my ILR for more than 12 months too.

While starting my application, a section comes asking

Are you either:
An EEA national who has been issued with a permanent residence document
A family member of an EEA national who has been issued with a permanent residence card

After Brexit, is UK still a part of EEA? If I say no to this, the application does not ask for his passport information.

Thanks
Prk

Answer NO. This question relates to EU citizens NOT British citizens for the purpose of naturalisation.

Re: UK - EEA? + Self employment query

Post by prk17 » Sun Jan 24, 2021 9:53 am

Thank you. Appreciate the reply.

Another query in regards to the application.

I am self employed and started a company in Aug 2020 - I have not filed my first self assessment yet. What should I submit in the following:

"Your most recent tax year account statement and corresponding HMRC tax return as proof of self-employment"

P.S. If I need to put this as a new topic, I can do that too.
Thank you
