British by descent and next generations

I am confused with the term British by descent and whether the next generations can still get BC automatically.

If I got BC by naturalization (AN) and my children (born outside the UK) applied with me now (MN1).

Will my kids who applied BC via MN1 almost at the same time as me, be considered as British by descent?

if they have children in the future born outside the UK, will those children be considered British automatically?

No, they will be British otherwise than by descent and can pass it on.

British by descent is if a child are born abroad to a British born parent or a parent naturalised or registered as British.

All naturalised citizens are British citizens otherwise than by descent.

As for your children, I presume that they were registered under either Section 1(3) (for children born in the UK whose parents later settled in the UK) or Section 3(1) (for children born abroad whose parents later settled in the UK).

The sections under which they were registered should be mentioned on their registration certificate.

Assuming that it is either of the two above, they are also British citizens otherwise than by descent.

If either you or your children now have children born outside the UK, those children (born on or after the dates on the naturalisation or registration certificates) will automatically be British citizens by descent.

They will not be able to pass their British citizenship to their own children if those children are also born outside the UK. However, any children born to them within the UK will themselves be British citizens otherwise than by descent.

Simple rule to remember: Only one generation born outside the UK will be British.

Clear, it was so confusing. Yes our case is the 3(1), we settled here after they born. Thank you so much for the explanation
