Uk BRP, Travel to Cork for Tourism

The first post, so I am unsure where to put it. My apologies if its not the right area or if this question has been asked too many times

My wife is an Indian citizen who has a BRP (Biometric Residence Permit). She is on a spouse visa and has the right to live and work in the UK. She current BRP runs till October 2023. I am a British citizen.

My question is, does she require a visa to visit Cork,Ireland for a weekend get away?

She needs a visa.

How long does it take to get an Irish visa?

We are staying in London currently. Would we be able to get one at short notice?
