Can I apply for ILR?

Post by naGod » Thu Oct 15, 2015 3:47 pm

Hi All,

Please I need advise.

My Tier 1 general extension got refused based on mistake made by my accountant and got discretionary leave visa till 2017 after appeal. My 5 years would complete next August if i was still on tier 1. My question is am I still eligible to apply for ILR next August?

Thanks,

How long is your current visa valid for in total? What does it say on it in terms of category? DLR stopped in 2012, so you don't actually have 'discretionary'... so we will need to ascertain exactly your visa history. When did you come to the UK? What is your entire visa history, dates etc...?

Ongoing Appeal + ILR

Post by naGod » Wed Apr 27, 2016 11:15 am

Hello Good people,

I need your candid advice on my Visa issue. I had my Tier 1 general extension refused (with right of appeal) due to chartered accountant's mistake in declaring my limited company as self employed (no dividend/salary). The FT refused my appeal on the ground of article 8. UT allowed my appeal and referred back to FT to review the case.

The Issue now is, FT has been postponing my case and my ILR is due by August. What do I do? please advise.

Thanks,

That's some dumb Chartered Accountant but surely you should have spotted that when you signed the accounts as true and correct.
