Hi everyone.
I currently have an existing skilled worker visa valid until the end of next year. I am currently in my home country on maternity leave and would like to return to the UK soon.
I have been offered another job, with a different company.
I'd like to know if it's possible to apply for the new/updated visa while I am in my home country, as opposed to returning to the UK to apply internally - reason being i'd like to apply for my daughter's visa as well so we can travel at the same time.
Is this possible?

Hi Everyone.
I am currently on maternity leave in my home country and would like to resign from my current job as I have had gotten a better opportunity.
Would i still be able to enter the UK within the 60 days period given by the HMRC or technically during my "notice period" after I have already resigned?
I'd like to re-enter and apply for the change in visa internally if I am unable to do it while outside of the UK.
Furthermore, if you're on maternity leave and your notice period still falls within your maternity leave period...could you start a new job during this "notice period" assuming that you've been granted a new visa with the new employer ofcause ?
Thank you

If you are not working for your current employers, then an Immigration Official may

The most secure and simple solution would be to apply for your new visa from your home country immediately. You could not bring your new child to the U.K. without a dependent visa in any case.

Hi everyone.
I'm wanting to know whether it is possible to apply to update my skilled worker visa on a new COS (change of employer) while on maternity leave outside of the UK?
If so, does anyone know how to go about it?
I've asked UKVI and they said it is possible. But when trying to go through the "update skilled worker visa" section, it says I'm not eligible as soon as I put "location applying from" as anything bother than the UK.
Should I rather just start a whole new visa? - my only concern is that i'd have to get a whole bunch of extra documents again such as police clearance and proving that I speak english, and a new TB test etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

You will require a DCOS from your new employer to apply from your home country.

Thank you. What I just wanted to check was can I simply update my visa/change my employer (already have the new COS) while I'm in my home country? Or would I need to start a whole new skilled visa process instead?

If you are changing employer you have to start afresh regardless of being in the UK or not

Regardless of where you apply it is a whole new application with visa and IHS fees payable. From your home country it is a new entry clearance visa.
You canont just update your existing visa. Not how it works.
The dcos is to facilitate a visa application. You need to make sure you have a defined cos (applications outside the uk) and not an undefined cos (applications within the uk). The wrong cos will result in a refusal.

Hey am in a similar situation. Did you managed to file your application outside of UK in the end while on your existing SWV?
