Child benifits

Post by yasman » Sat Mar 05, 2016 9:54 am

Hi As i got my ilr recently and applied for mn1 form for my uk born daughter,
So can i apply for benefits ,my wife and son born abroad leaving now in uk will apply after 3 moths for their ilr on 10 years long residency bases,Will these benefits which i claim will effect their ilr application?
Which benifits i can apply ?thats does't effect their application?
And can i only apply for my uk born daughter whoes mni application is in home office,or i can also apply for my son under 12 years who will apply in three months for his long residency ilr.
Please keeping in mind my circumstances advice me the benifits which i can apply now.
Kind regards

So can i apply for benefits Yes

my wife and son born abroad leaving now in uk will apply after 3 moths for their ilr on 10 years long residency bases,Will these benefits which i claim will effect their ilr application? No, depends on if you claim correctly

Which benifits i can apply ?thats does't effect their application? Child benefit in YOUR name only, child tax credits in JOINT names with your wife. Housing benefits if you qualify as a single person + children only.

And can i only apply for my uk born daughter whoes mni application is in home office,or i can also apply for my son under 12 years who will apply in three months for his long residency ilr. You can claim for both children. You are claiming, not your children. You will need your daughters passport and birth certificate so not sure if you apply for MN1 by post or through NCS.
Check your eligibility in the link below to see what you MIGHT qualify for. Select British citizen for yourself to do the calculator.
