Citizenship or pbs dependent visa?

Hello,
I would like to ask, if a baby was born outside UK
Father got ILR and was applying for naturalization but did not receive a decision at the time the baby was born
, Mother is on pbs dependent route?
Will the baby need pbs dependent visa like his mother or there is a way to apply for citizenship directly?

The child follows the same immigration path as the mother if the child was born abroad.

An expensive issue the parents created as if they baby was born in the UK and the father had ILR, the baby would have been automatically British.
