ILR Granted on 10 years LR Basis & Question regarding Universal Credit

Post by hina_pirzada » Sun Oct 27, 2019 2:08 pm

Dear Members,

First of all thanks to all members specially Zimba, Casa and other seniors their valuable advices all the time. My journey to ILR now ended and I hope I will be in touch with this board further.

If anyone needs any questions please do ask.

I need some help regarding the Universal Credit claim. I am filling the online form but they are saying that I need to claim jointly with a partner. I do not understand this. My partner is my dependent and condition with no-recourse of public funds.

Can anyone has the same issue or guide me further on how I can avoid submitting the details.

Thanks

Hina

If you live with your partner
Your partner’s income and savings will be taken into account, even if they are not eligible for Universal Credit.
