Child benefits

Post by Kian2537 » Sun Jan 08, 2023 12:38 pm

Dear friends,

I have got my ilr two months ago, .my wife has not got it yet. My child has got his British passport two weeks ago.

Are we eligible to apply for child benefits?

Claim CB in your name only for your British child. You will have to link your wife's name, but the claim must only be in your name.

Thanks for reply.

Basically I am eligible to apply for my child benefits?

I mean, I don't need to be a British citizen to be eligible to apply child benefits?

Yes, as you are free from immigration control, ie you hold ILR.

No!
