Confirm Eligibility for ILR Application

Hi,

I applied for a Tier 2 General visa with a CoS date of 23-Apr-2018 to 22-Apr-2023. However, there were delays in travelling to the UK and I entered the UK on 20-Aug-2018 (as stamped on the vignette in my passport). My BRP also shows the date of issue as 14-Aug-2018.

The end date of the BRP, though, is 06-May-2023. I am in a quandary because clearly I will not complete 5 years in the UK on 06-May-2023. So, can I apply for an ILR before May 2023 or do I need to talk to my employer for an extension and can apply for an ILR in Aug 2023?

No you cannot. Your qualifying period starts from the initial visa issue date. Your CoS dates are irrelevant.
