CoS button locked

Hello,

My Tier 2 visa is up for renewal. My employer said the SMS system was allowing them to assign a CoS, but that the button that allows them to do this was locked.

I've had a read of the troubleshooting section in the SMS guide, but just wondered if there are any other reasons this could be happening?

My other question is, once it has been applied for, how long does the CoS take to come through?

Unlikely anyone on the forum will know the problem. Has you sponsor called the helpdesk? Do they have spare CoS to assign??

Thanks for the reply. I’ve checked this morning and they have now contacted the help desk. We also actually have another month before we need to apply, so that may be an issue.

On a related note - do the home office check the RLMT conducted the last time? I obtained the visa despite the closing date not specifically being shown on the Universal Job Match website, even though they’d included it as part of the advert. A bit concerned that it might affect me this time around? Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

No they don't check it all again for extensions.
