COVID-19 - Family Overseas

Post by talreh20 » Wed Apr 29, 2020 9:59 am

Dear Respected Members,

I do hope you are all well and keeping safe.

I have a very quick question. We are a family of 5. I hold ILR, Wife, and 1 child on a Spouse visa (expiring Dec 2021), 2 kids are British Nationals.

We all went on holiday in Feb 2020 back home. I came back after three weeks i.e. 1st March. My family was due to return on 09th April. However, as the situation started to escalate in March, airports started to shut down and my family is still back home. My concern is in relation to my wife's and child's second extension and I was wondering if their stay back home for more than 90 days is going to cause any issues in getting their extensions in the future.

Are there limitations for their visa category which prohibits them from not staying out of the country for a certain number of days? For Example, there is a time limit for ILR(LR) to not be out for more than 180 days, etc.

Please advise.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

There is NO absence limit for spouse/child visa holders for ILR based on 5 years spouse visa.
