Covid New Rules: When will I get naturalisation letter - during Ceremony or by post?

Post by premebe555 » Fri Jan 29, 2021 11:10 pm

Hi All,
I have applied for naturalisation on December 15, 2020.
I understand, I will receive naturalisation certificate only during Ceremony.
As currently Ceremony not happening due to Covid, do I need to wait for very long to book Ceremony and get naturalisation letter? or it will be sent by post after my application is successful ?

Thanks!

You will only get your naturalisation certificate when you attend the ceremony and become British.

Follow the above thread for more details.

There is an average wait for 3 months after approval to receive the ceremony invitation letter by HO. Then it depends on the council ceremony methods/delays.
It can take good few months after approval till you attend the ceremony and become British.
