Date of Application

Post by Sofiathefirst » Sat Jan 30, 2016 10:44 pm

Hello, i have my NCS appointment in a few days time and am a bit confused about the date of application after reading posts about applications being refused due to wrong date and applications being redated.

I am a spouse of a British National so am applying exactly 3 years after my entry. I arrived into the United Kingdom on Feb.9.2013 and my NCS appointment is on Feb.10.2016.

My referees and I have signed the AN form on Jan.26.2016. My question is, will the fact that we have signed the application on January 26th, which is less that 3 years after the date that I first entered the UK a reason for refusal.

I was under the impression that the date that is used to calculate the residence period is the date that NCS receives the application and not the date that the application is signed. Can anyone please shed some light on this, as I have become quite confused about the dates after reading posts about redating applications.

No issue with the date your referees signed the form.

Date of application is the date of your NCS appointment.

Thank you very much. Can you please also confirm that date that I sign the AN form is not the date from which the residence period is calculated.

Also can you please advise does the referee have to sign first or the applicant.

As I have already stated, the date of application is the date of your NCS appointment. If you are concerned, sign your section of the form on this day.

Also can you please advise does the referee have to sign first or the applicant. Before the applicant ideally.
