28 days rule for uk spouse visa

Post by Sad2 » Thu May 30, 2019 6:32 pm

Hi, can anyone please help me regarding the 28days rule.
Does biometrics need too be done within 28 days of the documents or just the online application?
We have only 15 days left for both to be done.
Hope to get a reply soon.

Date of the online submission of application will be considered the date of application. No there is no 28 days rule over booking biometrics appointment but preferably it should be done as early as possible.

Thank you so much.
We are applying from outside uk so it takes time to get the documents here. Is it okay if we submit documents and do biometric 4 or 5 days after 28 days rule.

Supporting documents must not be older than 28 days from the date of application instead date of biometrics. Yes you can but from outside UK the applicants usually be able to book their biometrics very early. Preferably do it asap and usually supporting documents need to send to sheffield within 10-15 days depending on individual country after biometrics.

My husbands last payslip was produced on 17may and there were some issues with it. We were to apply within this week but unfortunately we have to delay it and correct the payslip which will take about 1 week. We will do our online application in the 1st week of June and same day he will send all the documents to me. We are really confused what to do please can you tell if we are doing everything correctly or not. Thanks in advance.

Its always best to apply once all the documents comes in hand because the documents should also not be dated after the date of application.

Hello,

Do not complete your online application until you have all your supporting documentation to hand.

There's no need to rush so take your time.

What i wanna ask is we are giving whatsapp calls and chats, emails, phone bill is this evidence enough for communication i am worried because we printed out everything from November 10 - may 17 is this okay because we are doing our online application on 3rd june.

Better to attach whatsapp & other communication evidence till the date of application.

Hi, thank you so much guys for helping me.
I have done my biometric amd documents submission today.
There is one more thing i am worried about. I have taken all my original documents to the visa center. on online application it is given to scan all documents but they told me to photocopy all my documents there and give it to them they will scan them later and i can take back the original documents. There were some Page's which have both front and back written in them so i am worried if they have photocopied them or not ( we did priority service)
