Dependant not completed 6 years but completed 1 year ILR

Post by gasans » Sat Mar 12, 2016 7:14 pm

Hi

My dependants entered the UK six weeks after I did. We had our ILR on the 15 Dec 2015, even thought my dependants only completed their 5 years on 7 Jan 2016. Can we all apply for for naturalization on the 15 December 2016 even though my dependants would may have completed their 6 years, but would have completed their 1 year under ILR?

Thanks

Yes. Citizenship is based on 5 years residence (including 1 year ILR) and not on 6 years residence in total.
Char (CR001 not Casa)
