Dependent Child Over 16 but Under 18

Post by McQs » Tue Nov 15, 2022 11:09 am

Dear Seniors/Fellows with Information

Circumstances

I have got skilled visa for UK. I left my wife and two children behind. My eldest one is 16 years and younger one is 12 years. I want to apply for my eldest one (who is 16 years) as a dependent to come and live with me now as it will be helpful for me and will apply for my wife and younger one later (may be next year later).

Quires

1- Can I apply for only one child (16 years old) as a dependent ? or
2- Do I have to have my wife staying with me and only then I can apply for my children.

Will be thankful for your input.

Regards
me

You cannot apply for the child if the other parent is also not applying at the same time.
