Dependent ILR Application

I’m getting worried. My husband has a dependent visa. He will apply for ILR soon.

All his previous applications did not include his middle name. Where we are from, he writes his name as his 2 first names (AAA BBB) middle name (CCC) surname (DDD). However here in the UK he only uses AAA BBB DDD. His driver’s license, HMRC account. All does not have his middle name. Will this cause a problem?? Only his Philippine passport shows his middle name. Which I know will be used for naturalisation in the future.

This will not affect the application.

Thankss. Do I have to add his middle name to his ILR application?? Will it not create any issues? And should I add his middle name to his documents here in the uk?

It should not matter. The UKVI relies on the name in the passport

That's not an issue at all.

I also have a similar name structure - first name: AAA BBB, last name: CCC DDD in the passport and other documents, and often I use AAA CCC only to simplify things - no issues at all with that. I guess the Philippines follow a similar name structure than Latinamerican countries.

For ILR or any other immigration application, the name of the applicant must match the information in the passport, so the full 4 components of the name should be included. No need to explain anything, just fill the corresponding fields in the application.

Hello. My husband is due to apply for his ILR in the next few months.

I came to the UK in 2017 with a Tier 2 Skilled Worker visa. Got my ILR on December 2022 and now a naturalised British citizen.

(1) When my husband applies for his ILR, what should we answer on “Select a category in which you are applying for ILR” should it be Skilled Worker, Tier 2 dependent??? Even though I am now a British citizen??

(2) When I enter that I am a skilled worker visa, they are asking for sponsor licence number. Should I put the details of my last COS?

1. Yes. Skilled worker visa.

2. Yes, the last CoS and details you had before ILR.
