Dependent Visa after ILR SET LR

Post by mtahiriqbal13 » Mon Dec 15, 2014 12:23 pm

Dear All,
I am on Tier 2 visa and my wife is dependent, I am going to apply for ILR under long residence terms. Suppose I got my ILR and I left my current employer (who is sponsor of my Tier 2) and joined new company, can my wife stay or travel on her current Tier 2 dependent visa until it expires ?

She should switch to FLR(M) once you have ILR. The rules changed in April this year. If she stays on her current visa, it is advisable not to travel as she may have difficulties re-entering the UK.

How long have you and your spouse been on Tier 2 and which category of Tier 2 is it?

It might be easier to apply for ILR based on Tier 2.

Thank you so much CR001.

Me and my wife are on Tier 2 from about 1 year.
