Dependents ILR eligibility [ mix visas ]

Post by Mudunuri9 » Tue Jul 29, 2025 2:21 pm

Hi Team,

I am married to my partner for 10 years.
Came to UK in 2022 Jan as ICT dependent VISA, my dependent switched to skilled visa in August 2022[ 3 years ], but i remained as ICT pbs dependent till August 2023 and switched as skilled dependent. as of today my partner completes 3 years as skilled worker, i completes as 2 year skilled dependent + 1 year ICT PBS dependent.
Now its extension time, His organisation says due to increased costs they would like to do for 2 years to cut down costs, which will result in [ 3+2 ] to eligible for ILR for main applicant.

In this case i will end up with 2+2 skilled worker dependent visa. please suggest best path as a dependent to secure ilr.

Shall we request to extend his visa for [ 3+3 ] So that he can apply in 2027 August and i can apply in 2028 August ? or if its not agreed for him for [ 3+3 ] Shall we apply for extension once he got his ilr ?
[ Note : in either cases we need to bear the visa costs ]
