If this was performed in the UK, it is likely not recognised as a marriage.

If performed overseas, it is not automatically registered in the UK.

Nothing is automatically registered with the council registry office or the general registry office

marriage was performed outside the uk. she came here as dependent and became naturalised citizen. All kids born in the uk.

so in case of divorce would she get 50% of all assets including house?
so if marriage is not automatically registered then what's the status for uk law. in quite a few forms filled out for various utilities etc. companies she was disclosed as 'wife'.

any reference?

This is irrelevant really.

Not an immigration matter. Consult a lawyer as it depends on your divorce settlement/agreement.

There is a massive difference between a marriage abroad being recognised by the UK and a marriage being registered in the UK, i.e conducted in the UK by a UK Official. They are NOT the same thing.

nikkah country: Pakistan
Its not governed by Shariah Law as such so nikkah is seen as religious ceremony not a court decision.
Checked websites nikkah husband and wife will be seen as co-habiting partners only
